Cooper Tires – Pitch Creative

Good, quality tires. Ambitious goals. Limited funds. And a rich, 100-year, made-in-America heritage. These were the key issues that drove our thinking as we developed a digital, social and CRM-based platform for Cooper Tires.

The answer came with an avalanche of arresting and unexpected gif-powered imagery, coupled with short, single-minded topics. Stop the scroll. Demand attention. Compel clicks. Make Cooper Tires look, sound and behave differently than not just other tire manufactures, but any other company period.

 

We planned to accommodate Cooper's limited budget by sourcing cheap, random assets to create attention that out-paced their marketing budget. There was more to it than that, but that was the gist of the creative approach. And it was a hoot to create.

The good news: We won the pitch. The bad news: we couldn't close the deal. An impasse bubbled to the surface during contract negotiations.
